- The VA, Tri-Care and Medicare are all government plans with very high ratings. On the other hand, private insurers raise your rates at about 3 times inflation, kick you off the rolls when you need them, deny claims and make your life miserable when you are the sickest.

- Perhaps most of the belt tightening is forced because of the recession, but there are two other elements at work. One, because of the recession, people are reavaluating whether or not all the "stuff" really matters and in most cases, being free of buying, buying, buying is very liberating.

- Pharmacists should be required to stock and dispense all legal drugs. If they can't do this, then find another vocation. Referrals to another pharmacy are unfair to the patient that may not have the time or means to travel around town, or to another community for drugs.

- FDA is one of the most gutted federal agencies in government. It is now run by and for the benefit of corporations. They do not test, evaluate or approve anything independently. They are simply a branch office of big pharma and the chemical industry.
